below is a description of the original intention of the project.

Creating Memories

Collaboration and Teamwork

Students and staff will learn music, take pictures, create art and stem projects, and prepare for the fundraising campaign together.

Videos posted on a central project hub site will:

The final product will be digital audio and video files stored on a locked jump drive. It will play or load on any computing device with a usb connection.

Original Tracks that Make a Statement

Each grade level will be taught a song that makes a positive statement aligning with educational standards.

With the help of the Chords & Voices team, student performances including student and teacher soloists will be recorded and mixed to create professional sounding tracks.

The teachers who sing will form a choir to perform a song dedicated to the students.

Motivational interviews and comments from high-impact students and staff will be included to round out the project.

Real World Exposure to Music Business

The experience the students get doing this project will be real. Unlike many elementary school fundraisers, there are abundant connections to the curriculum at every grade level. From the arithmetic involved in selling, to the music, art, technology and social studies concepts involved in the creation of the product.

We will provide prompts, and suggested questions to help teachers connect the fundraiser activities with active standards.

Making It All Fun

Start with a Bang (extrinsic at the beginning)

Chords & Voices will send an individual or team out to your school for a kick-off assembly. We will introduce the project to students in a highly engaging and motivational way. Then we will inform students of the prizes and rewards they can receive by participating in the project and selling the product.

This, by the way, is not our mascot.

and I don't believe he can actually read minds either.

Build with Skill (intrinsic in the middle)

The process of creating music, art, and STEM projects will involve personal choice and group performance dynamics that are naturally motivating for kids.

It will also be fun for the teachers who participate in singing "I Believe In You".

End with a Bang (extrinsic at the end)

Some prizes include:

Student Promo Video #1 - script

1 Cane Ridge Elementary is our school.

2 We come from different backgrounds,

3 We speak different languages.

4 We eat different foods.

5 And we do different stuff.

6 But we have some things in common too.

7 We love our families,

8 We love our school,

9 We believe in our potential.

10 We all want to do something good in life.

11 In a way, we belong to each other.

12 So we choose to believe in each other.

13 Oh, and there's one more thing we all have in common:

14 We all love music.

15 This year we're making a recording of songs that celebrate our diversity.

16 and the fact that there are WAY more things that make us alike than there are that make us different.

17 Help us.

18 Join us.

19 Support our project. The money we will raise will allow us to do more music, art, STEM and even sports projects.

20 And remember, we're not just offering you some company's chocolate.

21 This is our own creativity.

22 These are our own voices and faces.

23 This is the product of our own hearts.
